Holiday activities to enjoy include horse riding, river fishing (on the doorstep, licence required) as well as walking, mountaineering, rock climbing, canoeing and bird-watching.
The property is also 5 minutes’ walk from Nantmor Halt on the Welsh Highland Railway with trains to Beddgelert, Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Sea fishing, sailing and swimming can be enjoyed from sandy beaches near the harbour town of Porthmadog (6 miles), which is also home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, and a golf course nearby at Morfa Bychan, which also has a long, golden sandy beach with sublime views down to Harlech and up to the peaks of Snowdonia. Porthmadog also boasts a maritime museum and a car museum. Llanberis is home to the Mountain Railway terminus, from where trains make the 5-mile journey up the side of Snowdon, to the café at the summit.
